This Privacy Policy explains what information Quantlow AI ("we", "us") collects across our website, trading-signal platform, AI chart scanner, and browser extension, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account data. Name, email address, and authentication credentials you provide at signup.
- Billing data. Subscription status, plan, and payment-reference identifiers returned by our payment processor (Paystack). We do not store card numbers on our servers.
- Chart images (AI Scanner / extension). When you scan a chart, the image you upload — or the screenshot the extension captures when you click Scan — is sent to us for analysis, stored via our image host (Cloudinary), and saved to your scan history. The extension does not capture your screen in the background and never collects your broker credentials.
- Extension key. A token linking the extension to your account, stored locally in your browser (
chrome.storage.local). - Telegram delivery data (optional). If you enable Telegram forwarding, we store the bot token you provide (encrypted at rest) and the chat ID you choose.
- Usage data. Pages visited, signals viewed, votes cast on closed trades, and basic device/browser metadata used for diagnostics.
- Communications. Emails you send to support and the contents of password-reset or verification flows.
2. How we use information
- To provide and operate the trading-signal platform, including showing your subscription and history.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions via Paystack.
- To send account, billing, and security emails (password resets, email verification, receipts).
- To improve our AI models using anonymised vote data on closed signals.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms.
3. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to run the product: our payment processor (Paystack), our database/hosting provider (Supabase), our image host (Cloudinary, for scanned charts), our email provider (Gmail SMTP), and our hosting infrastructure. Each processes data under their own terms.
AI vision providers. A scanned chart image is analysed first by our in-house engine. If that is unavailable, the image may be sent to third-party AI providers (e.g. Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Ollama) solely to produce the verdict. Under our configuration these providers process the image to return a result and are not permitted to use it to train their models.
Telegram. If you enable forwarding, your signals are sent to the Telegram chat you specify via the Telegram Bot API using the bot token you supplied.
4. Data retention
We retain account and billing records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only for as long as required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support.
5. Your choices
- You can update or correct your account information from inside the app.
- You can request a copy of the data we hold on you, or its deletion, by emailing support.
- You can unsubscribe from non-essential email by replying to any such email. Security and billing emails are required and cannot be opted out of while you have an active account.
6. Security
We use industry-standard practices — encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, scoped database access, and a managed payment processor — but no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
7. Children
The service is not directed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. Changes
If we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date and, where required, notify you by email. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
